ON THE MOVE: HKEX Adds Adeline Ee; Franklin Hires Sweta Dugar; Robeco Promotes Joshua Crabb

Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) named Adeline Ee as Managing Director, Head of Sales and Marketing, ASEAN. Based in Singapore, Ee will head up HKEX’s Singapore office, and will be responsible for leading the expansion of HKEX’s business across Southeast Asia, adding new clients and flows while further elevating the Group’s profile across the region.

Joining HKEX on April 4th, Ee will report to HKEX’s Co-Heads of Sales and Marketing, Christina Bao and Kevin Rideout.

Ee joins HKEX from Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX), where she has worked for nearly 20 years in various senior sales and product management roles.

 

 

 

Franklin Templeton hired Sweta Dugar as Head of Institutional, Southeast Asia (ex-Malaysia), according to an official statement. Dugar will be spearheading the firm’s efforts for their institutional business, not only in key Southeast Asian markets such as Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines. She will be based in Singapore and report too Tariq Ahmad, Head of Asia Distribution at Franklin Templeton.

 

 IVAN GONZALEZ, SWISS RE  Ivan Gonzalez, Swiss Re

Swiss Re announces that Ivan Gonzalez has been appointed CEO Reinsurance China and China Country President with effect from July 1st, 2022, according to an official statement. He will relocate from New York to Beijing.

Gonzalez will have composite responsibilities for all Reinsurance operations in China and serve as Swiss Re’s president in the country. He was most recently the CEO North America for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, a role he held since 2016, offering innovative, high-quality insurance capacity and customised risk transfer solutions to corporations in the United States and Canada.

HSBC Asset Management has hired a team from AMP Capital to establish its own listed infrastructure equity team, according to a statement. 

The team will be led by head of listed infrastructure equity Giuseppe Corona and report to HSBC Alternatives chief executive Joanna Munro.

At AMP Capital, the team had worked together for five years overseeing $2 billion in listed infrastructure equity assets.

 

Erina Han, AIA Investment Management Erina Han, AIA Investment Management

AIA Investment Management has hired Bank of Singapore’s former head of funds selection Erina Han as head of global equities, according to the insurance firm. Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, Han worked at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for over 13 years. She had roles based in Singapore and London, and was a lead portfolio manager, deputy director and team head for external fund management when she left in November 2018. 

Prior to MAS, Han had a stint as a lead portfolio manager at GIC.

 

Joshua Crabb, Robeco

promoted Joshua Crabb to Head of Asia Pacific Equities, taking over responsibilities from Arnout van Rijn as of July 1st 2022, according to an official statement.

Rijn has decided to relocate back to the Netherlands after 14 years in Hong Kong and will strengthen Robeco’s Sustainable Multi Asset team as of September 1st, 2022.

Crabb will take over responsibilities as manager of the Asia Pacific equities team.
